KONTAK BANTEN Iran has declared victory over the United States following a ceasefire agreement that ended armed conflict which began on February 28, 2026.
The announcement was made by Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) on Wednesday (April 8, 2026), describing the outcome as a “historic victory.”
ran Claims US Accepted Its Terms
Iran stated that it had successfully forced the United States and Israel to accept a set of demands proposed by Tehran.
Among the key points is a 10-point ceasefire framework that served as the basis for halting the conflict.
Ceasefire Agreement Details
The agreement includes a temporary halt to all military operations and the reopening of maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global energy route.
US President Donald Trump had previously announced a suspension of attacks on Iran on the condition that the strait be reopened—terms that Iran ultimately accepted during negotiations.
Further Talks Planned
Following the ceasefire, both sides are expected to continue negotiations aimed at reaching a long-term peace agreement.
The next round of talks is scheduled to take place in Islamabad, Pakistan
Situation Remains Fragile
Analysts suggest that competing claims of victory are part of broader political and diplomatic positioning.
Regional stability will largely depend on the outcome of ongoing negotiations and both countries’ commitment to maintaining the ceasefire.
